Safety at large-scale events: The IEC has set up a shelter for over 2,200 people.

The International Exhibition Centre (IEC) has set up shelter areas within its complex for use during air raid alerts.

This decision was made following a commission’s inspection of the IEC premises.

The largest shelter accommodates 1,440 people, while two others can hold 483 and 300 people, respectively. In total, the shelters can accommodate 2,223 people simultaneously.

These newly equipped shelters ensure that operations can continue uninterrupted during air raid alerts. Despite the full-scale war, the complex regularly hosts exhibitions, forums, conferences, and various business and cultural events.

People who happen to be near the IEC during an air raid alert will also be able to use the shelters.

"We are doing everything possible to ensure people feel safe during attacks on Kyiv. To this end, we have equipped shelters for over 2,200 people with all the essentials: fire safety systems, backup power supplies, and drinking water reserves," noted Maksym Krippa, CEO of the holding company.

The IEC continues to operate during the full-scale war and is adapting its infrastructure to meet new safety requirements. Developing protective infrastructure is one of the key areas of ARS Capital’s infrastructure asset management.
